200 CLUB DRAW £500

New Years Eve. The 200 Club draw for £500 will be made in the clubhouse after the match against Uckfield. It’s a 1pm kick off. Draw will be approximately 5.30pm.

You have to be in it to win it. Forms behind the Bar. £4 a month gives you the chance to win £100 every month with two £500 prizes every year, one at Xmas one in the Summer.

All,

This weekend a young 26 year old called Ryan Moore rode the winner of both the Epsom Oaks (yesterday), and the Epsom Derby (today). He is already a world renowned quality jockey!

What most of you won’t know is that Ryan played right fullback (and sometimes wingback), for Saltdean United U8′s through to Under 18′s in the team that I was privileged to coach for ten years.
Ryan rarely missed a training session or match even though he was riding out horses from the family stables in Woodingdean from 6am in the mornings.

During that time Jan & I got to know his parents Gary and Jayne very well and to this day we remain in contact and follow Ryan and his brother Jamie (who also played in midfield a year up in my SUFC team).
Jamie has ridden in a couple of Grand Nationals so far and much is expected of him next April.

It’s a small world but my message is that their dedication to whatever they were involved in showed and was encouraged. They are winners which is what it’s all about.

Christmas Party 18 December Cancelled Due to Adverse Weather

Regrettably, the Club has had to cancel the planned Christmas Party for the Mini Soccer Teams at Deans Leisure Centre tonight, as the Leisure Centre has closed as a result of the adverse weather conditions.

The site as many more items for viewing and is maintained in house by the club so news and important club information can be loaded instantly. SAFA Course – Saltdean United Football Club 17 – 19 August 2009

If you have not already booked onto the excellent SAFA Course that Dean Lightwood will be running at the Football Club from 17th – 19th August then I would suggest you do so soon. There are just a few places remaining. For those not familiar with SAFA, there promise is to instill confidence into your child, and to help them achieve something for themselves using only their enthusiasm and our motivation. Once you have seen a SAFA course in action, met the staff and witnessed the respect their coaches offer your child, you will not want them to attend any other. SAFA have built up their reptutation by providing over 10 years of quality coaching and their coaching standards are very high. The SAFA Team promise that your child will leave SAFA with a ring of confidence surrounding and separating them from their counterparts.

Announcement of Upcoming Fixtures

We are able to confirm that a number of Friendly Fixtures have been organised starting on Thursday 23 July 2009. All of the friendlies are home fixtures and involve both the senior first eleven and the reserve team.

We have also been handed details of the first few fixtures of the season involving the first and second teams. See below for details of the fixtures we have planned and details of the new seasons opening games:
